Question 6
Question 6
Microphone- The
microphone helped a lot during the stage of creating the production companies:
as most stuff on the internet is guarded by the copyright law and all of the
copyright free noises went satisfactory for me; the mic let me make sounds
which suited the production logo
Premiere
pro: This was the software mainly
used for editing without this program we would have had to use windows
moviemaker which isn’t really idea as we wanted extra tools and give the short
film a professional film. This software is very hard to use however when you get
used to it is very useful.
Video camera: As
we used an up-to-date camera the quality was in HD made the film was very accessible
to export to the editing program
Computer- The school computer let me access
onto many programs for editing and planning, it also allowed me to log onto
blogger so I can track my progress, also the computer had all of the necessary
programs to create a film: Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
Memory stick- The
memory stick enabled me to give and receive videos pictures and audio files
from my group this is key for me as I work in a group therefore we need to
share our information.

Tripod- The
tripod allowed me to use the camera to its maximum standard to enhance our film,
I also used the tripod for taking pictures so I can ensure that I will get a
steady shot

YouTube- YouTube
is full of tutorials, examples of other short films and copyright free music
for the whole world this allowed me to find out more on Directors and how to be
a good one, also we found our music on YouTube which really helped because
without the music there wouldn’t be as much tension there should be.
Speaker- this helped us to experiment
with different sounds and music until we found a perfect piece, this also helps
us get the full cinema experience ensuring that the short film will keep the
same sound quality on speakers like a film in a cinema
SD card- The SD
card let me store memory onto the camera and then transfer the files to the
computer so the clips can be edited
Question 4
The short film is also aimed at a stereotypical teenager somebody who wants to get away from school work and have fun my short film will scare however they will be entertained people with this age group prefer the more flashy shots and the higher budget films as it cool to look at therefore we have aimed more on aesthetics instead of the story to impress them.
The typical viewer is interested in modern music artists, the film is also aimed more for girls as if they see a good looking guy in the film they are more likely to see the whole film as they will have a good looking boy to look at.
Question 5- Report
Report
We gathered all of our data via a questionnaire as this is
the easiest way.
We did a lot of research into particular social groups and conventions
used in horrors so show gave out questionnaires with viewing of our influential
films and asked the audience what they did find scary and what they thought wasn’t,
this test was good as led us to use a dark location and add a lot of mystery
into the short film.
Our questionnaire results revealed that the whole concept
was really good and they liked the use of Mise En Scene what they didn’t like
was the titles and they think that the title ruined most of the film as the
font wasn’t conventional and the fonts were appearing too quickly.
There was a lot of positive stuff including the characters
people understood what was happening and were eager to find out more.
In conclusion our film has a lot of potential to be scary
and entertain however we need to re film some parts and use different editing
skills in order for it to be amazing.
